We worship God through our music. Our vocal and instrumental programs attract a variety of talents and interest from all age groups. Most music groups are open without audition.

Early Birds

The Early Choir provides musical leadership and an anthem for the first worship service at Covenant. The choir specializes in music that is Scripturally based, enjoyable to sing, and not difficult to learn. Instrumentalists are urged to participate in this group. They rehearse Sundays at 8am.

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir provides musical leadership for the 11am Sunday service, presents special musical services on occasion, and participates in ecumenical and multicultural musical events in the community. They sing music from every period from the Renaissance to Rock, and seek to serve all worshippers by leading hymn-singing and singing anthems. They rehearse Thursdays at 7:30pm.

Handbell Choir

Our bell choir plays a five-octave set of Malmark Handbells and Choir Chimes. The group plays for worship every month and participates in the Greater Columbus Handbell Ring every year. Ringers are challenged to learn new techniques, to hone their rhythmic interpretation skills, to develop excellent ensemble playing, and to make music as a group. This group is open to anyone from high school through adult with an interest in making music on bells. They rehearse Tuesdays at 5:15pm.

Flute Choir

Members of the Flute Choir meet together to develop their musical, technical, and ensemble skills. They play ensemble music from different periods and in different styles. This group plays for worship on occasion, and they have recently begun to combine forces with Musica di Camerata for double ensemble pieces. They rehearse Wednesdays at 7:30pm.

Musica di Camerata

Musica di Camerata (music of the chamber) denotes music played by small ensembles, usually of a secular nature. The members play recorders in seven different sizes, Cornamuses, and various percussion instruments. They play for worship and present a chamber concert once each year. It is open to anyone who has instrumental experience and would enjoy playing ensemble music on recorders. They rehearse Wednesdays at 7:30pm.
