Michele Nordine, Interim Director of Youth Ministry
Hello! I am so thrilled to be back in youth ministry and to be here at Covenant! I am really looking forward to being a part of your church community and getting to know all of you over the course of my time here as the new Interim Director of Youth Ministry. I come prepared with over seven years of professional youth ministry experience, and my specialty is forming and developing relationships with youth and adults, meeting all where they are in their faith walk.
I love missions and had a blast on the two trips this summer to Pittsburgh and Barnesville. My participation was low on the Barnesville trip because of bringing baby along, but I still was able to see what the team accomplished while there. It has also been great to spend time with Jason and see how he leads the group. I know it will be hard for him to leave as well as for the youth and adults involved to see him leave. I have been in his shoes and will be sympathetic to the process of transition. I will continue everything as he has done with lots of music and high activity.
A little bit more about me, I am married to Nathan and together we have four children. The first three children are from his first marriage, and they are Faith (12), Miriam (9), and Sky (4). The fourth is Gigi and she is 9 1/2 months and will already be one year old on October 18! The first three live in Dover with their mother and they visit us approximately every other weekend.
I hail from Minneapolis, Minnesota where most of my friends and family live. Nathan’s family is from Iowa so we try to travel up North for the holidays when we can. I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Nathan is currently working with AT&T and has nine years of experience of professional pastor in the Methodist Church.
For fun we enjoy traveling and spending time with all the kids. We are excited to get settled in Columbus and be able to call the Buckeyes our team as we just returned from Gator land!
