Randy Cox began his life as a publisher of Christian music in 1976, after years of music ministry in churches in Memphis, Orange County, CA and Nashville. His career as the unofficial founder of Contemporary Christian Music in Nashville began with publishing “Father’s Eyes” recorded by Amy Grant. Randy went on to sign writer/artists Michael W. Smith, Rich Mullins and dozens of others.
As he continues to work with songs and songwriters, Randy can count nearly 80,000,000 recordings of his published songs including Dove Award and Grammy Award winning records.
As a composer and lyricist, his choral pieces are published by over a dozen print publishers including Oxford University Press. Randy’s poems have been published by Pegasus Journal and The International Thomas Merton Society Quarterly.
In September of 2017, Randy’s first co-authored book, Winds Of Heaven, Stuff Of Earth was released by Worthy Publishing.
Randy is also actively involved as a Lay Cistercian of Gethsemani Abbey.
